Hello from Washington DC everyone!
Our journey has begun. Up until about a week ago it all felt so surreal. But not now. We have said goodbye to our families and friends, and have our lives whittled down to six checked bags and two carry-ons. We are sitting in hotel room with an overnight layover and will be flying to Zambia in the morning. It feels very real!
We have so much to be thankful for. We have been propelled into this next season of our lives by your love, prayers, generosity, encouragement and tremendous joy. Thank you.
God is so good and faithful. We know and trust that He has us in the palms of His hands. We love you all so very much and trust that He is watching over each of you.
Next time we update you, it will be from Zambia.

Praying for you guys! What an exciting and terrifying time all at once. We love you, and we thank you for what you have chosen for your lives. Jeremy and Katie Daggett (part of a team that plans to join us in 2014) are visiting with us now. They just served with the HIZ group this past semester. Made me think of you all!
